Bosco dei Cervi is an Italian and American owned B&B that is strategically located in the Northern Appennino hills between Bologna and Florence. Perfect for those travelers looking for a getaway to unwind and relax after a long day on the crowded tourist trail.

There are hidden Medieval villages, Lakes, Regional Historic Parks and other interesting excursions in the vicinity of our surroundings which can be visited in a few kilometers drive from our location. The Historical Montesole Regional Park bordering our property contains important areas dedicated to where you can see archeological rests of an Etruscan city, the memorial area crossing the Gothic front line where the German and Anglo-American army fought for an entire year during World War ll and the home of the world renoun artist Giorgio Morandi.

In a maximum 1:45 minute drive or train ride you can enjoy a memorable experience visiting some of the most famous cities, sites, churches and monuments in the Northern-Central part of Italy. Monumental cities, Florence and Bologna are the closest (less than 1hour!!); however, a long list of other cities can be visited in a day trip, (Venice, Ferrara, Mantova, Padova, Pisa, Lucca) and many more throughout the north of Tuscany, the south of Veneto, Lombardia and the whole Emilia Romagna region.

Bologna and its area is internationally known as one of the richest cities in gastronomic tradition, and famous for food, cars and motorcycles. Parmiggiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico, Mortadella (boloni), Prosciutto di Parma, and many more prestigious factories are located in our region and open to the public. Bologna and our region Emilia Romagna have a very good international level of Wines that has won various awards in the last years. There are a variety of organic food and wine tasting farms in our surroundings as well as traditional restaurants. Tuscany and the Chianti region is very close and can be visited in a day trip. November 2017 opens the amazing FICO in Bologna, one of the most important food centers in Europe, entirely visitable for food lovers to have a quality experience

Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati museums and the Pagani factory are reachable in less than a 45 minute drive. The Maserati factory was founded in the Bologna city center. The yearly Mugello GP motorcycle event is held 30 minutes away in Barberino del Mugello which is open to the public throughout the year and close to the Barberino Fashion Outlet Mall.

For the sporting enthusiast you can arrive in a short kilometer distance from our location to Lake Brasimone and Suviana, full of sporting activities surrounded by their Natural Park.

For Golfers there can be an unforgettable experience golfing in some of the most famous cities in the Northern part of Italy. There are numerous challenging courses in Bologna, Florence, Pisa and Venice all within an hour and half drive.

Our location is a paradise for bikers to ride through the hills between Bologna and Florence towards Tuscany or Emilia Romagna biking routes.
